LTC Partners Supports Make 12 Hours Count Radio-thon to Benefit Veterans Count

Portsmouth, NH: As part of its commitment to give back to the community, LTC Partners (LTCP) served as the presenting sponsor of the second annual Make 12 Hours Count Radio-thon held March 23 to benefit Veterans Count, an Easter Seals program that provides support and resources to veterans, service members, and their families.

Raising more than $150,000, the radio-thon was held in partnership with WGIR—610 AM and WQSO 96.7 FM (stations of iHeart Radio) and hosted by New Hampshire Today's Jack Heath. In addition to being broadcast live in New Hampshire, the event could be heard nationwide on www.iHeartRadio.com.

LTC Partners' CFO Linda Roth was among the 100 event and phone bank volunteers who helped make the event a success. Roth also volunteered at the 2015 radio-thon.

"Supporting our veterans is very important to LTCP, and also to me personally," said Roth, who volunteered on the phone bank taking donations. "As a mom of two veterans, and with many immediate family members who are either serving or have served, I know firsthand how important the services Easter Seals provides to veterans."

In addition to support from LTC Partners and other corporate sponsors, more than 425 individual donations were made, including generous donations from presidential candidate Donald Trump and former New Hampshire Governor Craig Benson, as well as from children who opened up their piggy banks.

Throughout the 12-hour radio-thon many stories were shared about the challenges military families face and how Veterans Count offers assistance.

Veterans Count, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016, has provided more than 9,000 individuals with services ranging from employment counseling, emergency financial assistance, deployment support, mental health support, and substance abuse services. The organization also provides financial assistance for food, home maintenance, utilities, housing, rent, fuel assistance, vehicle repair, child care, gasoline, and medical bills.
