LTC Partners Sponsors Veterans Count Radio-thon to Support Military Families
Portsmouth, NH: On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, LTC Partners proudly sponsored the first Veterans Count Radio-thon, designed to raise awareness about the hardships many military individuals and their families face. The 12-hour radio-thon was hosted by Jack Heath and broadcast throughout New Hampshire.
Many of the challenges faced by our veterans do not end when their deployment or service ends. The radio program featured insight on specific challenges faced by service members and veterans and what Veterans Count and other organizations can do to help.
With more than 400 generous donations—including contributions from LTC Partners, comedian Seth Meyers, and public figure Donald J. Trump—the radio-thon raised more than $125,000.
LTC Partners employees reached into their own pockets to donate $1,500 toward the event through the company's monthly Jeans Day program—a program that provides employees with the opportunity to wear jeans in lieu of business casual attire every Thursday for a small monetary contribution.
LTC Partners' Chief Financial Officer Linda Roth was a radio-thon volunteer.
"I'm proud to be part of a company that recognizes the sacrifices the members of our military, both service members and veterans, make in order to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day," said Roth. "It was an honor to represent LTC Partners in support of the Veterans Count Radio-thon. And as the parent of two veterans, I'm grateful for LTC Partners' dedication to this worthy cause."
A program of Easter Seals, Veterans Count provides support and resources to veterans, service members, and their families in Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
The Veterans Count care coordination program provides free and confidential assistance with employment counseling, emergency financial assistance, deployment support, mental health support, and substance abuse services.
