2014 FEDVIP Open Season Sees Steady Growth in New Enrollments, Satisfied Stakeholders

Portsmouth, NH: LTC Partners (LTCP) today reported it continued to see steady growth in enrollment numbers during the most recent Federal Benefits Open Season for the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP).

The 2014 open season, which ran for four weeks and ended on December 11, 2014, marked the ninth consecutive open season for which LTC Partners has administered FEDVIP enrollment and customer support activities through BENEFEDS, a platform and contact center the company runs that allows federal employees and annuitants to shop for, enroll in, and manage several of their voluntary benefits.

"Year after year, we work with U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), FEDVIP insurance carriers, and our other partners to strategically plan and run a successful FEDVIP open season. This focused diligence has resulted in the favorable combination of smooth, seamless execution of millions of open season transactions as well as consistently high service marks from federal employees and retirees," said Brian Frankenfield, Director of BENEFEDS Enrollment and Service Operations. The FEDVIP continues to experience consistently strong annual growth. This growth is a testament to not only open season execution, but also the high quality of OPM's program design, the insurance carriers' plan offerings, and the BENEFEDS platform itself."

An innovative use of technology and automation lies behind LTC Partners' ability to handle mass transaction volumes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. According to Frankenfield, recent upgrades to the company's sophisticated interactive voice response (IVR) and virtual call center (VCC) platform added 24/7 self-service opportunities by phone to the organization's existing online offering. Frankenfield also pointed to www.BENEFEDS.com visitors' increased use of tablets and smartphones during the 2014 open season.

The company has administered FEDVIP enrollment for OPM, the plan's sponsor, since BENEFEDS launched in 2006.

Built and managed by LTC Partners under the oversight of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), BENEFEDS is the centralized online portal and contact center through which federal employees and annuitants enroll in and manage their voluntary benefits coverage and receive educational, billing, and customer service support. Through BENEFEDS, LTC Partners administers specific aspects of several benefit programs for the federal government, including the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program, and the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program.
