Long Term Care Partners (LTCP) is an administrative company
geared to insurance products and record keeping. At present,
LTCP holds two exclusive Federal Government contracts, one to underwrite and
administer the
Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program
(FLTCIP) and one to build and administer the BENEFEDS portal, an enrollment and payment system for
federal benefit programs.
As a result of these two contracts, LTCP has established
itself as a business that caters to the unique demands of a
federal environment. Its ultimate customers are federal
civilian employees, federal civilian retirees, U.S. Postal
Service workers, military personnel, and qualified family
members.
The
Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program is the largest
group long term care insurance program in the nation, with
more than 216,000 persons enrolled. LTCP administers all aspects of the FLTCIP by providing
customer service, sales, marketing, underwriting, billing
and collection, claims payment, care coordination, and
information technology services.
The BENEFEDS portal is a convenient, self-service website
(www.BENEFEDS.com) built and maintained by LTCP which
centralizes voluntary benefits enrollment information for
more than 140 federal departments and agencies. Currently
federal employees may use this website to enroll in their
Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program
(FEDVIP). Additional federal voluntary benefit programs will
be added in the future. To support the BENEFEDS portal LTCP
provides a customer service call center. LTCP also manages a
back-end premium administration system for the portal
which expedites payroll deduction, reconciliation, and
payment transmission between federal payroll and annuity
offices and benefits vendors.
