Long Term Care Partners (LTCP) is an administrative company geared to insurance products and record keeping. At present, LTCP underwrites and administers the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) on behalf of John Hancock Life & Health Insurance Company, which has a contract with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to provide the insurance under the FLTCIP. LTCP also has a contract with OPM to administer the BENEFEDS portal, an enrollment and payment system for the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) and an allotment system for the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS).
LTCP has established itself as a business that caters to the unique demands of a federal environment. Its ultimate customers are federal and U.S. Postal Service employees and retirees, active and retired members of the uniformed services, and qualified family members.
The FLTCIP is the largest group long term care insurance program in the nation, with more than 225,000 persons enrolled. LTCP administers all aspects of the FLTCIP by providing customer service, enrollment, education, underwriting, billing and collection, claims payment, care coordination, and information technology services.
The BENEFEDS portal (www.BENEFEDS.com) is a convenient, self-service website built and maintained by LTCP. Federal employees and annuitants may use this website to enroll in the FEDVIP. BENEFEDS also comprises the payroll and billing systems and customer service functions necessary to perform premium/allotment administration for the FEDVIP and FSAFEDS. To support the BENEFEDS portal, LTCP provides a customer service call center.
