Long Term Care Partners Gives Back to Its Community and Charities

January 9, 2012

Long Term Care Partners (LTCP) employees collaborate year-round to give back to the community by supporting local charities and participating in fundraising events. In 2011, LTCP has made contributions to a number of different charities to help in efforts against hunger and homelessness, raise money for cancer research, provide holiday gifts for seniors, and more.

Some of the organizations that have benefitted from LTCP's donations have included the American Cancer Society, Cross Roads House, the Homeless Center for Strafford County, and Santa for Seniors. LTCP also encourages employees to support the nonprofit institutions of their choice by offering a matching gifts program.

Among the list of charitable efforts in which LTCP has participated are:

  • Cross Roads House
LTCP employees lent a helping hand with the donation of 29 bountiful Thanksgiving dinner baskets with all the trimmings to local families who have recently transitioned out of the homeless shelter into their own homes. A corporate donation of $850 will be used for their newly renovated family center. Cross Roads House provides a secure, transitional shelter and helps local residents move with dignity and purpose to sustainable housing.
  • Homeless Center for Strafford County
LTCP employees contributed 8 bags of gently used linens, coats, pillows, blankets, towels, and warm clothes to the Homeless Center for Strafford County. The Center provides a safe, seasonal shelter to women, children, and families in our community. Its secondary mission is to offer support through case management and collaboration with area agencies to develop self-sufficiency for homeless residents.
  • Santa for Seniors, Rockingham Nutrition and Meals on Wheels
During the holidays, 75 Christmas gifts plus needed items such as stamps, stationery, phone cards, gloves, hats, blankets, pillows, robes, pajamas, puzzle books, and toiletries were given by LTCP employees to local senior citizens who have no family or other people to share their holiday. Rockingham Nutrition and Meals on Wheels provides nutritious meals and beneficial support services to older and disabled residents of Rockingham County who need assistance to help them preserve long term health, well being, and independence.

LTCP has also participated in events around the seacoast area to help raise funds for groups such as the American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer® Dover, NH, walk.

On January 5, 2012, LTCP sponsored an annual blood drive for the American Red Cross.
