Paul E. Forte serves as CEO of Long Term Care Partners, LLC, a complete provider of insurance administration and technology solutions for large institutional sponsors, public and private. He has served in this position since the inception of the company in 2002.
Paul is a pioneer in the field of long term care insurance, having been among the first to market individual long term care insurance policies and large employer group contracts in the late 1980s. Under Paul's direction, Long Term Care Partners has won two federal contracts for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) awarded by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the sponsor and regulator, and in 2011 completed a highly successful Open Season generating more than 45,000 enrollments, a 20% increase in enrollment. The Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program is the largest long term care insurance program in the country.
Paul is also a recognized leader on national long-term care policy issues. He has testified before Congress, spoken frequently at national conferences, made appearances on Federal News Radio, and published articles on long term care insurance and the long term care insurance industry.
Paul's education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. Paul has also studied at the Graduate Center at City University of New York, where he was an Intercampus Fellow. In addition, Paul has attended the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, and has been a member of the CEO Peer Group Program, a private organization of business leaders geared to managerial excellence.
