Paul Forte, CEO

Paul E. Forte is Chief Executive Officer of Long Term Care Partners, LLC, a joint venture company formed by John Hancock Financial Services and MetLife. Long Term Care Partners is the exclusive administrator for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), which is the largest long-term care insurance program in the nation.

As head of Long Term Care Partners, Mr. Forte is responsible for a range of administrative functions including sales, underwriting, product development, customer service, claims, claim coordination, information technology, and finance. He works closely with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to ensure that all performance measures under the contract are met. In addition to his regular corporate duties, Mr. Forte speaks in various venues across the country to promote the program.

Before joining Long Term Care Partners, Mr. Forte served as a Senior Officer with John Hancock and directed John Hancock’s efforts to win the FLTCIP contract. One of the earliest managers of John Hancock’s large long term care insurance business and one of the first to implement employer group contacts, Mr. Forte is regarded as a pioneer of the long term care insurance industry. Previously, Mr. Forte managed John Hancock’s Group Life business and worked in John Hancock’s International Group Department, first as Sales Executive, and later as Technical Consultant.

Mr. Forte has testified before Congress, has been a featured speaker at national industry conferences, and has appeared on radio and television programs. He was chosen to serve as Delegate-at-Large from New Hampshire to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging. He holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and has attended the Executive Program of the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. At present, he is working on a book on creating a national policy for long-term care.
